1. What Is myRWA?

myRWA is a private online community where RWA members can connect with each other, network, and enhance their RWA membership experience. Because myRWA has forums, blogs, communities, events, and other community-building features, RWA will move/has moved its Yahoo Groups, committee communication, online classes, and the Member Resources information to the myRWA site. In order to access the information, members are asked to sign up and create their online myRWA profile.

2. How does myRWA work?

myRWA functions like other online networking sites, except access is limited to RWA members. Members will need to sign up and create an online profile to gain access to myRWA and the Member Resources information. The only information visible to other myRWA members is your myRWA user name and the “public” e-mail address you provide, though you can chose to hide even the “public” e-mail address from view.

3. Do I have to sign up for myRWA?

No, you do not have to sign up for myRWA; however, if you do not sign up for myRWA, you will not be able to access any online member resources, event registrations, discussion forums, the online RWR, etc. You can participate (or not) in myRWA to your comfort level (i.e., you can “lurk” if you wish to access information but not interact with other members).

4. How do I create my profile in myRWA?

To join myRWA:

• Log in at http://www.rwa.org or http://my.rwa.org
• Click the link on the screen to take you to the sign-up page
• Click the “click here to join myRWA” box (required)
• Enter a myRWA user first name (required)*
• Enter a myRWA user last name (required)*
• Enter an active e-mail address in the myRWA e-mail address (required)*
• Complete the optional information (i.e., website address, second alias)
• Click the “Save” button at the bottom of the page
• Log out and log back in to the RWA website.

*These fields will be visible only to other members who have signed up for myRWA.
