During Part 1, Michael will present the essential components of a powerful pitch, including:

    • Your primary objective – and how to achieve it

    • The 8 steps to a powerful pitch

    • The 8 essential elements of any story

    • The single most powerful way to begin your pitch

    • The 5 biggest pitching mistakes – and how to avoid them

    • The win-win way to end your pitch

Then during Part 2, Michael will give personal pitch coaching to four selected participants so that all participants can see the principles in action, anticipate challenges unique to their own stories, and ask individual questions about the best ways to present their own stories. This special event is available exclusively to RWA members, and is the ideal way to prepare your pitch for the Annual Conference in July or for the telephone and in-person pitches that come with every new manuscript.
