At the "Readers for Life" Literacy Autographing, hundreds of romance authors meet with and sign their books for fans, with the proceeds from book sales going to literacy organizations. Since 1990, RWA has raised more than $825,000 to fight illiteracy.
Thank you to everyone who supported the 2013 Literacy Autographing! This year, we raised $52,309.24. The 2013 beneficiaries of the Literacy Autographing are ProLiteracy Worldwide, Literacy Action, Inc., and Literacy Volunteers of Atlanta.
The 2014 "Readers for Life" Literacy Autographing will be on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter Hotel in the 3rd floor ballroom.
In keeping with the purpose of RWA’s Literacy Autographing, which is to raise money for literacy programs by selling signed books:
Works must be 2013-2014 copyrighted romance novel(s) or novella(s).
Signing authors must be registered for the conference.
Self-published works are accepted.
Due to space limitations, priority will be given to PAN members and print books.
Authors are only able to sign up to two titles.
All proceeds will be collected by RWA and donated to ProLiteracy.
Registration opens January 21, 2014.
All books must have an ISBN barcode on them (either printed or a sticker).
Free books or ARCs are not allowed to be given away at this event.
