Librarians Day Keynote: Virginia Kantra

Virgina KantraNew York Times best-selling author Virginia Kantra is the author of thirty novels. Her stories have earned numerous awards including two Romance Writers of America's RITA® Awards and two National Readers' Choice Awards. 

Meg and Jo, her debut women’s fiction novel, received starred reviews from Publisher’s Weekly and the American Library Association’s Booklist and was praised by People Magazine. 

Virginia is married to her college sweetheart, a coffee shop owner who keeps her supplied with caffeine and material. They make their home in North Carolina, where they raised three (mostly adult) children. She is a firm believer in the strength of family, the importance of storytelling, and the power of love.   

Her favorite thing to make for dinner? Reservations.

How do they reach readers during the pandemic? What are their plans for future events, and what can you do in your library?

Speakers: Nina Crespo, C. Chilove, and Elizabeth Schechter
Join rising star authors C. Chilove, Nina Crespo, and Elizabeth Schechter to learn about some terrific new books they are reading, authors and programs especially good for libraries, and what they are writing now. This fun group will remind you why patrons love paranormal romance, hot cowboys, and more! A list of terrific, diverse titles discussed will also be provided during the panel.

Ten Trends in Romance Fiction and Programming
Speakers: Amy Alessio and Susan Gibberman
What's a Bully Romance? What are great diverse titles librarians should be ordering? Enjoy this fun, live, humorous presentation of ten popular romance fiction trends and tips for online and in person programming. Past RWA Librarian of the year Susan Gibberman and YA librarian Amy Alessio will get excited with audience members about so many books. Get ready to expand your TBR list along with your library orders. A list of titles discussed will be provided.
