Judge Training for The Vivian

As a selected judge for RWA's inaugural Vivian contest, you have agreed to complete training on both implicit bias and other topics related to DEIA, as well as training on the judging process. Please read on to find out how to access both of these trainings. Email [email protected] with questions.

Implicit Bias Training

RWA strives to ensure that all entries are judged fairly. Judges are required to view the ~45-minute video below, which contains selections from the workshop "Enhancing Awareness, Inclusivity, and Cultural Competency: Exploring the World of Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion" first presented by Devona F. Pierre, Ed.D. and Sabrina Griffith, SHRM-CP, CDP at the RWA2020 annual conference. These selections address diversity, implicit bias, and cultural competence, among other topics. Once judges have viewed the video, they must complete a short quiz. To complete the quiz, click the "Next" button below.

Deadline to view video and complete quiz: December 18, 2020

Process Training

In this short training session, we will discuss how to use the scoring rubric, how to access packets and submit scores, etc. This training will be live to give judges an opportunity to ask questions, and we will host several sessions to accommodate schedules. Please sign up for ONE of the sessions below, and if you are unable to attend any scheduled sessions, please email [email protected].
