Join the 2019 RWA Chapter Challenge!

Help us celebrate International Women’s Day by joining our annual RWA Chapter Challenge! The Chapter Challenge is a contest for all RWA chapters and members to fundraise for ProLiteracy, RWA’s charity of choice. Prizes will be awarded to the chapter that raises the most money, and to the five top individual fundraisers!

This year’s Chapter Challenge will raise funds for ProLiteracy’s Women’s Empowerment initiative. Of the 36 million adults in the U.S. who have low literacy skills, 65 percent of them are women. ProLiteracy is working to raise awareness of how literacy can empower women to use their voice, claim their rights, and live out their dreams.
In 2018, funds raised through the RWA Chapter Challenge helped 55 adult learners make progress toward their goals--this is more than double the number of adult learners members helped in 2017! ProLiteracy has set an ambitious goal for this year's Challenge to raise funds to provide 200 women with the learning materials they need to improve their literacy skills. You can help them reach that goal!

The Chapter Challenge ends July 23 at 5 p.m. CT. All winners will be announced at the RWA 2019 Keynote Breakfast on Friday, July 26.
