New Board Member and New Committee Chair Appointed

Renee Ryan was appointed to the RWA Board of Directors as a Director-at-Large. She will serve the remaining term of the seat vacated by Damon Suede upon his election to President-Elect. Renee has previously served as Secretary for the RWA Board of Directors and as a chapter president. She was a recipient of the 2014 RWA Service Award.

The Board of Directors voted to appoint HelenKay Dimon as the Chair of the Policy Advisory Committee. HelenKay is a former trial attorney turned full-time romance author. She was previously President of the RWA Board of Directors and has served in numerous board positions in her local RWA chapter (San Diego), including President and Vice President of Programs. She was named the RWA PRO Mentor of the Year in 2010.
