RWA2020 Update

To RWA Members and the Romance Community: 

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Romance Writers of America Annual Conference that was scheduled for July 29-August 1, 2020 at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis in San Francisco, California, has been canceled. In its place, RWA will host a virtual conference, the details of which are being finalized and will be shared in a separate announcement. 

The health and safety of our members, volunteers, staff, and all conference attendees is our utmost priority, and we feel canceling our physical conference in favor of a virtual one is the most responsible decision at this time. 

We would like to thank everyone for your patience waiting for this announcement as we finalized contract negotiations with the hotel over the past weeks, and we thank the San Francisco Marriott Marquis for working with us to navigate this difficult situation. 

While we are disappointed we won’t have a chance to come together in person this year, we are excited about the possibilities presented by a virtual conference and can’t wait to share details with you. We are planning for robust educational offerings, networking opportunities, and more. 

New details for the RWA Annual General Meeting and the Fourth Quarter Board Meeting will also be shared in a separate announcement.
