Welcome to the Aged to Perfection Seasoned Romance Writers. Fondly known as A2P, we are an online chapter of RWA.
If you aren’t familiar with seasoned romance, it’s an age category within the romance genre. Stories focus on characters in their late thirties, forties, fifties, and beyond. These books are filled with those who’ve lived life and have endured both the good and the bad.
As one of the newest chapters of RWA, we opened our doors in November 2019. Since then, we haven’t looked back. In 2020, the chapter sponsored chats with Beverly Jenkins and Jen Graybeal. The year ended with the first annual Holiday Zoom Party.
The workshop program rolled out in 2021. Now in our third year, A2P offers a variety of writing classes. Three tracts are available. There are Saturday morning Zoom workshops, along with two-week intensives, and month-long classes. Discounted registration is available for members of A2P. In July 2022, A2P took advantage of the opportunity to meet in person at RWA’s Annual Conference. The chapter hosted our First Annual Cocktail Party/Mixer. Over fifty writers and industry professionals enjoyed an evening of conversation, inspiration, along with food and drinks. The Board of Directors is already planning for our Second Annual Cocktail Party/Mixer in Anaheim. Once again, the party will be free for chapter members. There will be a small charge for everyone else who joins us.

2023 is shaping up to be another dynamic year. Aside from all the great workshops, the chapter will be rolling out new events like Book in a Week and online writing sprints. We’ll also take time to celebrate chapter mates’ accomplishments on our Facebook page in Take a Bow.
