CTRWA CHAPTER MEETING

Presentation @11:00AM by Jane Porter: Pacing the Contemporary Romance: Contemporary romance is a roller coaster--tautly plotted and fast-paced with lots of emotion and intriguing characters.

The contemporary romance thrives on tension, and our job as writers is to deliver this tension. We want to hook readers on page one and keep them hooked. The goal is to get them reading breathlessly, to have them turning pages without putting the book down.

For readers to read with this breathless anticipation, we've got to learn to intensify the story time. There's no room to waste, no place for slow, meandering scenes. The workshop focused on tips to help make your story compelling and unforgettable.

Event is online via Zoom. $10 for RWA members out of chapter and $15 for non-members.
