Instructor: Donna MacMeans

Date: January 25, 12:00 p.m. CT (U.S.)

Okay, it’s not exactly Shakespeare, but this workshop will help you to decide if the time is right to take your writing entity to the next step. Please be advised that you should be consistently earning around $200,000 for incorporation to make sense. We’ll discuss the differences between a sole proprietor, a C-corporation and a S-corporation. In addition, we’ll cover the difference between self-employment tax and payroll, how writing profits will flow to the author for tax reporting purposes, and the level of paperwork required on a routine basis.
