Fresh Fiction Queens Sara Reyes and Gwen Reyes

reyes3.jpgSara Reyes
has an Executive MBA from SMU Cox School of Business. Her career includes stints at AMR Corporation (American Airlines) as Marketing Manager and several Fortune 50 energy companies. Happily married with two children, two requisite dogs and some fish, she lives in Plano, Texas where she does what she loves best -- read voraciously, "play on the computer," and introduce readers to new authors and great books. Sara with her daughter Gwen, founded Off The Edge in 2004 to combine a successful business model with their passions: books, film and television. Nearly ten years later you’ll find Fresh Fiction on the covers of books, on Thursdays as a romance feature on Kirkus Reviews plus Reel Vixen quoted on film posters and a twice monthly segment on Good Morning Texas.

gwen125.jpgGwen Reyes has always had an insatiable thirst for a great story, and thanks to her love of books (and disgust with the corporate lifestyle) she has the opportunity to bring together authors and readers.

She developed a love for planning events during her college days at Sweet Briar College, where she earned a degree in Philosophy and Film Studies, a pairing she constantly uses to not only disappoint her parents but to also charm strangers at cocktail parties. Gwen founded Fresh Fiction in 2004 with her mother, Sara, and together the two built a fun business dedicated to advocating fiction. In the past three years the Fresh Fiction Events division has grown from five to over 45 author-reader events annually, including the acclaimed Readers & ‘ritas Weekend and not-to-be-missed Adventures In Fiction.

Her professional writing career began in 2009 following a three year stint in the film festival world. As a member of the Television Critics Association Gwen travels all over the country to interview your favorite actors and actresses for ReelVixen.com/ (soon to be FreshFiction.tv).

Gwen is currently writing her first book, a teen novel about young love and ghosts. She lives in Dallas, Texas with her direwolf boxer mutt Loki, whose favorite movie is "Lady and The Tramp."
