Gail Eastwood began writing her own “books” at age seven. Through various careers including reporter, rare books dealer, and freelance journalist, she never gave up the dream of becoming an author. Her first novel won the Golden Leaf for Best Regency in 1994. More acclaimed Regency romances followed, including finalists for the Holt Medallion, Colorado Romance Writers' Award of Excellence, the ROMY Award, Romantic Times Reviewer’s Choice Awards and more. She was nominated for the Romantic Times Career Achievement Award two years in a row. After a break from writing, Gail is back at work on new stories as well as new editions of her old books. She holds a degree in Humantities/Comparative Drama and Sociology from Case Western Reserve University and lives in her native state of Rhode Island with her husband and two adult sons, where she also teaches writing classes and workshops. In addition to writing she juggles two other jobs, caring for her family, and interests in history, historic costuming, Renaissance and English Country dance, theater, reading, the beach, and how to squeeze three lifetimes into one without using clones.
