A Writing Coach's Observations on Success and Failure
Malena Crockett is a recovering fairy tale princess, story keeper, and writing coach (and a former paralegal, university instructor, real estate agent, editor, classified ad clerk, camp counselor, music director, Miss Congeniality, photographer, genealogist, and stage performer). She draws from her vast creative "database" (aka, her imagination) and puts bits and pieces together, rearranges them, throws them up in the air, and mashes them together until they turn into characters and stories. Like most humans, Crockett’s characters can be naïve, vulnerable and flawed, but they are more often strong, smart, and courageous. They, like the rest of us, have to rely on inspiration and heart to work through the challenges and mysteries life presents to keep us all busy while we're waiting around to get into heaven.
Having lived for many years in both the Mormon corridor and the Bible belt, Malena now lives in the Pacific Northwest with her beloved human, canine, and feline family.
