Romance Writers of America is saddened to learn of the death of longtime member and award-winning author Joan Hohl.
Hohl was the author of more than sixty romance novels and a winner of a Golden Medallion award (precursor to the RITA) in 1986. Author and friend Gail Link said Hohl “became a mentor to me, a conference buddy, a warm listener discussing characters over long phone conversations. She was there for me when my first novel was published and helped me celebrate further books as well. And not just me, several other writers had Joan's support.”
RWA extends its condolences to Joan Hohl’s family and friends.
