The Extraordinary Innovation Award may be presented each year for extraordinary innovation in any category including, but not limited to programming, community outreach, retention or membership drives, chapter promotion, industry engagement, professional development, or any other act done by a chapter or chapters working in concert. Routine programming, conferences and activities do not qualify for this award.
Nominations for the award should be submitted by chapter leadership via letter, fax or email by February 1st for the prior year, including any supporting documentation for verification. The nominating document shall list the reasons the act, work, or programming deserves the award.
In order to qualify for the award, the Chapter(s) responsible for the innovation must meet the following qualifications:
- The Chapter(s) must be in compliance with all RWA rules and regulations, including the Chapter Code of Conduct, and be up to date on all Chapter affiliation paperwork.
- The act, work or programming that serves for the basis of the nomination must have occurred in the calendar year immediately prior to the nomination.
- The Award will be given only for outstanding innovation that surpasses fundamental chapter advocacy and programming standards.
In no event is it required that an award be given out in any calendar year. RWA reserves the right to revoke the award for any reason.
