    Local RWA chapters offer a number of conferences, contests, and workshops. Listed below are the chapter contests and conferences scheduled for the coming months.

    May Contests

    **The Molly 2015

    Sponsor: Heart of Denver Romance Writers
    Fee: $30 for HODRW members, $35 for all other RWA members, and $40 for all non-RWA members
    Deadline: May 31, 2015
    Eligibility: All writers unpublished in book-length fiction within 3 years prior to entry deadline.
    Entry: First pages (up to twenty-five (25)) of your manuscript plus up to 5 pages of your synopsis, which may be commented on but not judged. This can be a combination of Prologue plus Chapter One, but 30 pages maximum, including the synopsis.
    Categories: Most subcategories of romance fiction accepted. See website for details.
    Judges: First round – published and unpublished, Second round – published, Final round – Editor, Agent or Publisher announced on website. Comments will be returned from the first two rounds of judges.
    Prize: The first-place winner in each category will receive the Molly Award Plaque. All other finalists will receive certificates. Results will be publicized on website, loops, and in the RWR.

    Eligibility: The contest is open to any book or novella that was independently published by the author.
    Entry: The book’s cover and the text of the back cover copy. Only electronic entries will be accepted.

    Judges: All entries will be judged by book club members who are avid readers. Every effort will be made to use book clubs that are genre-specific.

    Eligibility: Entrants must be unpublished in book-length fiction (minimum 40k) in the last five years.
    Entry: Submit a 15 page (maximum), double-spaced, page-numbered entry with  manuscript’s title and genre on first page only in the upper left hand corner. A 500 word synopsis must be included and is not counted as part of your 15 pages. We want to lose ourselves in 15 pages of your unpublished manuscript where your hero and heroine cannot keep their hands off each other.
