Local RWA chapters offer a number of conferences, contests, and workshops. Listed below are the chapter contests and conferences scheduled for the coming months.

    Entry: A 3-page, double-spaced synopsis of any subgenre of romance. Entry must be for an unpublished manuscript. Contest limited to the first 150 received.
    Judges: Three first-round judges that include at least one published author. Top three finalists will be reviewed and judged by an industry professional.

    Eligibility: All work must be the author’s original work that has not been contracted for publication prior to the entry deadline.     Entry: First 5,000 words. NO synopsis or blurb. Finalists will be asked to include an unjudged synopsis for editors.

    **The Catherine

    Eligibility: All unpublished writers, including writers who have not been published in five years or more.     Entry: First twenty-five pages and a two- to five-page synopsis submitted electronically. Both entry and synopsis will be judged.
