Susan’s love affair with books began when she made a bad grade in math in the sixth grade. (She still doesn’t like math.) Not allowed to watch TV for six weeks until she brought the grade up, she filled her extra time with books. Like other wannabe writers, she piddled with writing a book and nearly talked it to death before publishing her first book, Nick’s New Heart, about her son’s heart transplant. Susan then turned her talents toward fiction. Be it doctor, lawyer or international businessman, her heroes are smart, sexy and all sensual male.
She leads workshops on time management, promotion, making rejection work for you (having received over 300), and collage art as a way of picturing your storyline. Susan has presented her workshops at the Romance Writers of America national conference, New Hampshire Romance Writers conference and Georgia Romance Writers conference. She often speaks to groups or to just anyone willing to learn about the importance of organ donation. Married for twenty-nine years, she and her husband live just north of Atlanta and have four children. For the past seventeen years, Susan has been a substitute teacher at a local high school, and that… is another bio.
As a member of the successful group blog Petit Fours and Hot Tamales www.petitfoursandhottamales.com she makes monthly posts. Her book, Doctor’s New Found Family final in the 2011 Georgia Romance Writers Maggie contest.
She is currently working on books about a WWII Flight Surgeon and another about her summer trip to Europe with her four teenagers along with being contracted by Harlequin’s Mills and Boon Medical line. Currently three of her medical romances are available with others to be released.
