I've always heard voices in my head. Sometimes they drive me crazy but most of the time they end up in my novels. My husband says the reason I can't recall a lot of things in my life is that I was always in another world. I think he is right! But, in truth, I don't know what I would do without those voices, and in the rare times when real life drives them into some dark lair and I lose their rhythm and flow, I lose a part of myself.
After living thirty-two years in Baton Rouge and loving the Cajun food and culture, my husband and I moved to the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia after he retired. Yes, we miss great friends and good food, but I can see the MOUNTAINS from my back yard.
We have an Australian Shepherd and a mischievous rescue border collie/beagle mix who live with us and a wonderful son who is now married and living large in the big city. I enjoy visiting big cities, but in the end, I love coming home to my small town and mountain view!
