I'm a contemporary romance author who loves reading and writing about the South (especially Louisiana).
Recently I was asked how I stay so productive. Mostly I just write. No social media, no television, no surfing the web, no fun. I’m pretty disciplined so basically I wake up, drink coffee, and then hit the keyboard. I’ll write until I make my goal. Some days I can achieve what I need to in six hours. Some days it may take twelve. It depends on my brain. Unfortunately I have no control over it. It’s kind of like hair . . . I can sit in front of the computer for five minutes and know if it’s going to be a good brain day or a bad brain day.
